Copy Jam detector
beginning
We had to design a circuit that would buzz when two or more of the sensors were blocked by a piece of paper at one time. The buzzing would continue until the operator pressed a button shutting it off.

The simplified expression is AB + AC +BC+Andrewisdumbandwrong
Circuits
We did not use resistors, as when we built the circuit without them they worked. the purpose of the combinational logic circuit was to create the logic needed so that when the paper blocked two of the light sensors, the buzzer would go off. we have a flip flop gate because on the flip flop, if the preset (jam) or the clear (clear button) is set off it will stay on until the other preset/clear is pushed. the LED goes off but the buzzer stays on because although the preset is not true anymore (the LED) the flip flop gate will keep the output of one until the clear is set off, where it will stay off until the preset is triggered.
Conclusion
This project is different from past ones as in this project, the PLD is actually hooked up to a machine that uses the program. In both the DMV counter and the Sixty Second Timer we just used the clocks that were on the board, whereas this uses the machine thing that we had to build. Also this circuit does not use a clock, and is mostly base off of simpler logic that we learned earlier in the year.
